Obituary of Salvatore Renda

SALVATORE RENDA Troy-Salvatore Renda, 81 of Troy, entered into eternal life on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. Born in Cardinale Catanzaro Italy, on January 1, 1938 he was the son of the late Nicola and Maria Teresa (Mantello) Renda. He was raised and educated in Italy and moved to the United States as a young man. He served his country in the United States Army. Sal was employed by the Beltrone Construction Co. in Latham for over 20 years and retired in the mid 1980's. Survivors include his siblings, Nicola (Giuseppina) Renda of Italy, Francesco (the late Caterina) Renda of Latham, Eleonora (Domenico) Cunsolo of Clifton Park and Vittorio (Mary Grace) Renda of Latham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sal was predeceased by his sister Vittoria (the Late Cesare) Comito and brother Giuseppe Renda A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 7, 2019 at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
