RICHARD S. MILLER
Latham- Richard S. Miller, 83 of Latham, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2108 with his beloved wife at his side.
Born in Albany on November 5, 1935, he was the son of the late John J. and Marquerite (Tierney) Miller and was a 1953 graduate of CBA. Rich was married to the former Helene "Jo" Brown-Tante and predeceased by his 1st wife Ruth Miller.
Rich was employed with Sweet Associates in Schenectady as an Oiler for 16 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Albany Elks Lodge #49, Knights of Columbus #173 and the Operating Engineers #106. Rich was also a Eucharistic Minister at the St. Francis Chapel on Wolf Road and member of the Association of Jeanne Jugan Little Sisters of the Poor.
In addition to his loving wife "Jo", he is survived by his children: Judith Ann Williams, Lori Elizabeth (Anthony) Hout, Robert J. (Cindy) Miller and Jo's children Donna (Roger) McQuain, Pat Brown, Susan (Brett) Goodfellow and Allen (Sara) Brown. his cherished grandchildren Jacquelyn Hout and Tyler R. Williams, Taryn (Hichaim) Bentaous, Joshua (Amanda) Goodfellow, Ryan Goodfellow, Amanda (Derek) Puckett, Adam (Shelby) Brown and Taylor (Michael) Hovish, three adored great-grandchildren Brody Goodfellow, Asher Puckett and Ayda Brown, his siblings Marquerite Paquin, Christina Carey and James P. Miller.
Rich is predeceased by his Son: Stephen J. Miller and his Brother: John J. Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday December 27, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
Rich's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Rich's memory to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany, 40 North Main Avenue, Albany, NY 12203 or Little Sisters of the Poor: 1365 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082.
