Obituary of Frederick F. Suter

FREDERICK F. SUTER Latham - Frederick F. Suter, 92 of Latham, beloved husband of the late Florence H. Green Suter, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at his daughter's home in Cohoes with his loving family at his side. Born in Ellenville, NY on December 28, 1925, he was the son of the late James F. and the late Mildred M. (Poulson) Suter. He graduated from Ellenville High School and from the University of Notre Dame College with a bachelor's degree in business in 1948. Fred was Vice President of Bank of America in Albany for many years. He was an avid fan of all Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" teams. Fred enjoyed a long walk, a good meal, casino slot machines and a good glass of chardonnay. He was one of the first managers in little league baseball in Albany winning the championship back in the day. He was a former member of the Menands Rotary. Survivors include his loving children Deborah (William) Schiller-Deuel of Watervliet, Linda (Jerry) Dawson. His adored grandchildren Jerry (Kaylin) Dawson, Stephanie Dawson-Galvin and Jason Deuel, 4 great-grandchildren Jerry Dawson, Delaney Dawson, Charlee Dawson and Uzai Galvin. His beloved caretaker and friend Chris Stauder and her daughter Hannah of Cohoes. He is also survived by his canine companion "Fitty" . An extra special thank you to his granddaughter Stephanie for the love and care given to Fred during his illness. A special appreciation to his son-in-law Jerry who helped care for Fred and always there for whatever Fred needed fixed. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating.
