Dear, Billy, Eileen, Bob and Tom: Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear Mom and our beloved Auntie Eileen. She is in a better place now and you should feel at peace knowing that you all provided so well for her over many years, but these past few difficult years in particular.
We will all miss Aunt Eileen, the surviving matriarch of the Hardiman clan these past number of years. There was a connection through her to our distant past in Troy and even more distant past in Ireland while she was was with us. But now we stand before the doorway of history on our own with no more of our elders in front of us. It is incredible that we had the benefit of their presence for so long.
As sad as this loss is when it finally comes, as it was for our mother 5 years ago, there is comfort in these days in the way that your mind delves into the long unremembered past to find little events that crystalize your fondest memories of the one you lost.
In the case of your mother Eileen, for me it has to be that whole decade of the 1960's when the Haridman sisters transported their broods of boys to the other's house for an afternoon, or an evening or a weekend of such absolutely wonderful fun. I remember your Mom as being always smiling so warmly in greeting us, always making us feel special. It was a golden period of happiness for us.
Peace,
Bill

Billy, Eileen, Bobby, & Tommy,
We send our heartfelt condolences on your Mother’s passing. She was a wonderful Mom & a fantastic
Auntie Eileen to all of us Cooney kids.
She was always ready to give her big hugs & her happiness to see you just radiated out of her!
Her chocolate chip cookies, apple pies, & home brewed iced tea are ledgendary!
And yes, it is the passing of an era for our family as your Mom is now in heaven with your Dad, her brother & our Uncle Jack, and her sister, Mary, our Mom. They taught us well and their teachings and traditions will continue through all of us and through our children.
We have your Mom, and all of you, in our prayers as we celebrate Auntie Eileen and the beautiful woman she was and the wonderful life she lived.
God Bless Auntie Eileen!
Peace & Love,
Colleen & Paul
