Obituary of Mercita M. Januska

MERCITA M. JANUSKA Latham- Mercita M. Januska, 61 of Latham, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Los Baños, Philippines on January 2, 1957, she was the daughter of Purificacion (Lapis) Malayba and the late Perfecto Malayba. Mercita was married to Milo Januska and shared a devoted and loving union of 33 years prior to her passing. Mercita was employed at the Walmart Supercenter in Clifton Park for many years as a Department Manager. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her mother Purificacion Malayba of Watervliet, her loving children Amy (Jacqueline) Januska of Niskayuna, Andrew (Julie) Januska of Lancaster, NY, Angela (Kerry) Hosein of Latham and Anthony Januska of Buffalo as well as her cherished grandchildren Mikhail and Mila Hosein and Isabel and Genevieve Januska. She is also survived by her siblings Leon Malayba of Cohoes, Marvin Malayba of Latham, Marilou Dytioco of NJ and Renato, Carlito, Wilfredo, Nenita, Lolita and Paulino of the Philippines. Mercita's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 14 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Fr. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Visitation private at convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
