JAMES C. STEWART
Loudonville- James C. Stewart, 89 of Loudonville, beloved husband of Marianne Stewart, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 2, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Troy on August 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Schloupt) Stewart. Jim was married to the former Marianne B. Nestor on October 20, 1956 and the two shared a cherished union of 61 years together. Jim proudly served as a sergeant during Korean War in the U.S Army.
Jim was employed with the Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna as an Electron Micropist, retiring in 1990 after 30 years of service. Prior to that, he was a metalographer at Allegany Ludlum Steel for 5 years.
He was a member of the Colonie Elks #2192, LaSalle Alumni Association and a communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville.
Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his loving children: Marybeth (Jeff) Kennedy, Paula (Paul) Fox and Ellen (Scott) Becker and his 7 cherished grandchildren: James, Erin, Drew, Max, Sam, Connor and McKenzie.
Jim is predeceased by his son, James A. Stewart, his grandson Stewart Francis Kennedy and his brothers John & Charles Stewart.
The family wishes to thank Dr. William Feeney, Dr. Joanne Fogarty and the pharmacy staff of the Rite Aid (Walgreens) Pharmacy on Osborne Rd. for their care, compassion and concern they gave toward Jim and his family.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday August 6 from 10:30-11:30 am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville with Fr. James Walsh officiating.
Jim's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am at the church immediately following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 S Pearl St. Albany, NY 12202
Interment will take place with military honors in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
