Latham- Les Robert Miller, 68 of Latham, beloved husband of Patricia A. Clancy, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 24, 2009.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late James J. and Helen A. (Myers) Miller. Les married his beloved Patricia A. Clancy in 1963 and the two have shared a marriage of love for over 46 years.
He was a Recreation Foreman with the Town of Colonie Parks & Recreation for over 22 years until retiring in 2005. He previously worked in the shipping department of Wilson's Food in Troy for several years. Les was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved camping with his family and friends. He was past-president of the West Albany Rod and Gun Club and a member for over 50 years. He was a member of the Town of Colonie Republican Men's Club. Les was an avid horse racing fan. He was a member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192.
Survivors include his beloved wife Patricia A. (Clancy) Miller, his loving children Tammy M. (Antonio) Ballestero and Michael J. (Alison) Miller, his cherished grandchildren Victoria Ballestero, Alexa Miller and Lauren Miller, his sister Marilyn DeSeve, sister in law Pat Miller, sister in law Linda (Richard) Ahl, sister in law Christine (Richard) Cardone, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Miller and brother in law John DeSeve.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family from the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Road Latham.
There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
