Obituary of Viola A. Fox

VIOLA A. FOX Latham- Viola A. Fox, 96, of Latham passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday May 21, 2018. Born in New Haven, CT on October 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora (Kelly) Jette. She was married to Francis Fox and shared a devoted and blessed union of 39 years prior to his passing in 1985. Viola was employed with the New York State Department of Education. She was also a devoted communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. Viola is survived by her loving children Dr. Patricia A. Fox of Latham, Richard J. (Marion) Fox of Fairport, NY and Francis P. (Pamela) Fox of San Diego, CA as well as her three cherished grandchildren Richard (Kathleen), Gregory (Teale) and Sean Fox. She is also survived by her adored great grandchildren Ryan, Caroline, Sidney and Emerson Fox. Viola's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Fr. Geoffrey Burke officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Viola's memory to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110. Interment will take place next to her beloved husband Francis in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
