ELEANOR J. NATHAN Latham- Eleanor J. Nathan of Latham passed away peacefully on Thursday April 12, 2018 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center in Albany. Born September 16, 1918 in South Troy, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Martin Patrick and Helen (Lynn) Tobin. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband Theodore F. Nathan, they shared 60 cherished years of marriage before Theodore's passing on May 1, 2001. She was a graduate of Albany Comptometer School. Eleanor worked for General Electric for several years as a comptometer. She was also a well-known artist of the area who specialized in oil painting. She was a former member of the Rensselaer Art Organization and Troy Arts Guild. She is survived by her loving sons Theodore M. (Sheila) Nathan of Phoenix, AZ and Garry F. (Susan) Nathan of Latham as well as her 4 grandchildren Brandi, Cortney, Rachael and Brian Nathan and 3 great grandchildren Aiden, Ava & Quinn. Eleanor's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 16 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 119 Broad St. Waterford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany, 301 Washington Ave., Albany NY 12206.
