JOANNA A. WINORSKI Latham- Joanna Agnes Winorski, 96, of Latham beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Winorski passed away peacefully on Thursday March 22, 2018 at the Bethlehem Commons Care Center in Delmar. Born in West Rutland, Vermont on October 24, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Kielb) Jaworski. She was educated in West Rutland Vermont and then also graduated from the Albany and Troy Business Colleges. Joanna proudly served in the Woman's Army Corps during World War II, stationed in Illinois. After her honorable discharge she worked for the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. She participated in the Troy Flag Day Parades with the Polish American Club and also in the Victorian strolls for several years in both Troy and Saratoga where she would design her own costumes. Joanna enjoyed polka dancing, sewing, crocheting, gardening and traveling the US and Europe and other Mediterranean countries. Joanna is predeceased by her 6 sisters and 2 brothers. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. Joanna's funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa, 250 Maxwell Road, Latham with Fr. Mark Gnidzinski officiating.
