LENA M. ROSSI
Latham- Lena M. Rossi, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Hope Residence, in Latham.
Lena was born in Amsterdam on July 23, 1917 and was the daughter of the late Ralph Brazile and Mary (Chiara) Celia and the sister of the late John Brazile.
On May 5, 1939, Lena married the late Albert E. Rossi and they enjoyed 58 years of married life together.
Lena was a beautician and owned and operated the Imperial Beauty Salon in Amsterdam. She later was employed by the Orlo Beauty Salon in Albany. From 1986 until 1997 she assisted her daughter in running Variations Gift Shop in Newton Plaza in Latham.
She is survived by her 3 loving children: Charlyn (Mel) Pettit of Latham, Albert J. "Buddy" (Linda) Rossi of Saratoga Springs & Patty (Robert) Keller of South Lyon, MI. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter Leanna (Kyle) Potter of Charleston, SC., 2 great granddaughters; Kylee and Ayleeah Potter and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful staff at Our Lady of Hope Residence especially the 2nd floor south aides and nurses and the Little Sisters of the Poor for their exceptionally kind and loving care of Lena over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4-7 at the Our Lady of Hope Residence, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Chapel. Fr. Firmin Finn will officiate.
Entombment will take place in St. Agnes Mausoleum in Menands.
