Dear Scanlon family, I am so sorry to have read of the recent death of your loved one Robert. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be very comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5. These verses tell us that soon Jehovah God through his son Christ Jesus is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, as well as do away with all the causes we have for suffering including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me when I've lost loved ones and it is my hope that these thoughts will likewise comfort your family also during this most difficult time in your lives. My sincere condolences to all the Scanlons and Weedens on Bob's passing. I worked in the booth at Roger's Rock from 1977-83, along with John Beadnell. I well remember your families and how happy we always felt when you folks came up. Some of the best campers ever. As I said I remember Bob and how pleasant he was to everyone, as well as all their boating adventures. My deepest sympathy to Ellie and the children and grandchildren. May your wonderful memories of Bob bring you comfort and may our precious Lord's gentle arms fold you to His breast and grant you peace.

Ellie, Rick, we will never forget our trips to the Bolton Landing House. Bob was always there willing to make our most treasured vacations to Lake George the best they could be. ( Never will forget when your boat was sinking and Bob and I bonded when bailing it out) We were very honored to be part of that yearly vacation rental and meeting the Scanlon Family. We send prayers at this difficult time and Bob will always be in our thoughts and memories.
