JANET C. IZZO Latham- Janet C. Izzo, 76 of Latham, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018 at the Community Hospice Inn. Born in Troy on November 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Maria "Jennie" (Tornesiello) Izzo. Janet was a dedicated School Teacher with the Troy City School District for 35 years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Troy Teachers Association and NYS Teachers Association as well as the Thursday evening Movie Club. She is survived by her nephew: Nicholas Cavatta Jr. of Latham; Great Nephews, James Cavatta and Patrick Cavatta; Great Niece, Ashley (Mark) Bradley and Great Great Niece: Lucy Margaret Bradley Janet was predeceased by her loving Sister, whom she missed dearly, Marjorie Cavatta Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 12:30 til 1:30 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham Interment will take in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mayo Clinic to be designated for cancer research.
