Obituary of Diane Marie Skiba

DIANE MARIE SKIBA Loudonville- Diane Marie Skiba, 63 of Loudonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's in Albany with her loving family at her side. Born in Jamaica, NY on May 29, 1954, she was the daughter of the late William LoSasso and Marie (Edison) LoSasso of Troy. She was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam. Diane was employed in the Capital Region for over 30 years involved in employee services and benefits, as well as the banking industry. She enjoyed arts & crafts, her three cats, dogs and ballroom dancing. Diane loved to travel and she especially enjoyed planning social events for family and friends. She will always be remembered as a generous person who loved helping others. In addition to her mother she is survived by her two adored sons Gregory Skiba of Cohoes and Trevor Skiba of Loudonville as well as her siblings Barbara Castaldo and William J. LoSasso Jr. both of Troy, her former husband Dennis Skiba and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Peter's Hospital as well as the staff of the Hospice Inn and the staff of NYOH for all of their care and concern they gave towards Diane. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday December 4, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Diane's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 5 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Fr. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
