HELEN J. FAMULARE
Latham- Helen J. Famulare, 88, of Latham, beloved wife of the late Carmen Famulare, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Halfmoon on September 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Eva (Lavitska) Lewandowski.
Helen was a Sorter with Argus-Greenwood Printers in Albany for many years. She loved gardening, canning and cooking for her family and friends. Helen was very energetic and had a very strong love for her family who were the center of her life. She was also very health conscious person enjoy many types of exercise. She has resided in Latham for over 49 years. Helen was a member of the Polish National Alliance in Cohoes where she served as the former recording secretary, board member and banquet manager.
She is survived by her loving son Rosario C. (Therese) Famulare of Watervliet, as well as her cherished granddaughters: Alicia (Joshua) Tether and Emily Famulare and adored great grandchildren: Mason, Emma, Vera and Ford Tether and Charlotte Famulare, Sister In Law: Theresa Famulare of Latham, Brother: Frank (Joanne Malecki) Lewandusky Sr. of Waterford and many nieces and nephews.
Helen is predeceased by her siblings: Stanley, Sophie, Rose & Stacia.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday August 16, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 17, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Church, 36 Page Avenue, Cohoes with Rev. Peter Tkocz officiating.
Interment will be next to her beloved Carmen in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
