PATRICIA A. ROSKIEWICZ

LATHAM - Patricia A. Roskiewicz, age 95, formerly of Latham, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, after a long illness.

Born at home in Beckley, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Theodore N. Thurman and Hattie (Stover) Thurman. Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Edward J. Roskiewicz, and her infant daughter, Ann Theresa Roskiewicz. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Andrea) Roskiewicz of Aspen, CO, Linda (Paul) Barkevich of Clifton Park, NY, James (Mechelle) Roskiewicz of Warrensburg, NY, Edward (Kimberly) Roskiewicz of Barrington, RI, and Nancy (Shawn) Finn of Belchertown, MA; grandchildren, Wesley (Dania) Robinson of Westerlo, NY, Blake Robinson of Aspen, CO, Erin Finn of Belchertown, MA, Kathryn Roskiewicz and Jordan Roskiewicz of Barrington, RI; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and daughter, she was also predeceased by her brother, Theodore (Teddy)Thurman and her 3 sisters, Eileen Meadows, June Taylor, and Janet Netherland-Brown.

A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, West Virginia, Patricia went to Comptometry School; worked for the telephone company in Charleston, West Virginia and also in Miami, Florida which is where she met her late husband, Ed; worked at Williams Press and the D&H Railroad in Albany, NY. She was very active in her local 4-H Club; enjoyed being a den mother for the Cub Scouts; volunteered in an elementary school library; loved doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Her love for children and family was very evident in her daily life. She was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She will truly be missed by her loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by interment next to her late husband at Saratoga National Cemetery.
