WILLIAM ROBERT "BOB" FOLTIN Latham- William Robert "Bob" Foltin of Latham passed away July 6, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. Born and raised in Little Falls, NY, Bob graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He obtained his Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Union College in Schenectady, NY, where he also worked on his Ph.D. Bob was an adjunct professor at Union College. His professional career began at DuPont in Newburgh, NY, after graduating from Cornell. GE Silicone Products in Waterford brought him to Latham NY. He then worked for the NYS Environmental Conservation Dept. until retirement. He was a long-time member of the Latham Elks #2192, and played softball on many local teams throughout his lifetime. An avid writer, Bob frequently read his poetry and sponsored other poets at venues around the Capital Region. Bob is survived by three daughters and seven grandchildren who invite all to a memorial service on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Loudonville, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception at Latham Elks Club.
