DANIEL R. DISISTO SR. Latham - Daniel R. DiSisto Sr., 92 of Latham, beloved husband of the late Violet T. Larive DiSisto entered into eternal life on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Incornata DiSisto. He served his country during World War II in the Army stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He was a graduate of Cohoes High School. Dan was a Data Processing Tape Librarian, employed by New York State Department of Social Services until retiring in 1985.He also worked for many years at Toma's restaurant in Cohoes. He was a former golfer. He was an avid bingo player in the Capital District. Dan was a longtime member of the Colonie Elks Lodge and a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. Survivors include his loving children Daniel (Danielle Parks) R. DiSisto Jr. of Ravena and Mary Lou Cepiel of Colonie, his cherished grandchildren Daniel, Donald, Danielle, Donna and Deanna, 12 Great-Grandchildren, his sisters Vera Toma of Cohoes, Arlene Howansky of Colonie and Norma Palombo of Amsterdam, his special niece Chris and several nieces and nephews. Dan was also pre-deceased by his granddaughter Darcy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Entombment will be next to his beloved Violet in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
