Obituary of Charlotte Louise Stone

CHARLOTTE LOUISE STONE Latham-Charlotte Louise Stone, 96 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Walter H. Stone, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Inzie (Rathbun) McLeod. She married her love Walter H. Stone on October 24, 1944 and the two shared a blessed union of over 68 years prior to his passing on December 20, 2012. Charlotte has been a Latham resident since 1958. She was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cross-stitching, golf and was an avid reader. Charlotte's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her loving daughters, Marjorie S. (David) Barrows, Charlotte (Jerry) Aiken and Cynthia (Mario) Alaia, her cherished grandchildren Jessica (Michael) Salmon, Scott (Amy) Kendall, Cory (Laura) Aiken, Beau (Vicki) Barrows, Jennifer (Sean) LaDieu, Eric (Jennifer) Kendall & Kirsten Alaia, she is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and her nephew Fred (Gwen) Andersen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 am in Calvary United Methodist Church, Belle Avenue and Ridge Place in Latham. The family will receive guests at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will be with her husband Walter in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
