JOHN H. BICKFORD Latham- John H. Bickford, 61 of Latham, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was the beloved son of Joan Wiswell Bickford Beach and Harry E. Bickford Jr. (deceased 7/12/1982). John was born October 1, 1953. He was a graduate of Shaker High School where he was on the swim team and was the co-captain during his senior year. He attended the University of Vermont and spent his career driving flatbed tractor trailers. John drove for Hildebrand Trucking and Kit Transportation. He loved his experiences on the road and had many amusing tales. In his younger days, he was an avid skier and he loved hiking and anything to do with his beloved state of Maine, especially the Boston Red Sox. John was also gifted on the piano, which continued throughout his life. John is survived by his mother Joan, his sister Barbara Kerker of Elizabethtown, PA, his brother Robert (Susan) Bickford of Marysville, PA and his step-brother Eric (Liz) Beach of Endicott, NY. He is also survived by an uncle, 2 aunts, cousins and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his stepfather Dale S. Beach and his stepbrother Jeffrey Beach. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at Calvary United Methodist Church, Belle Avenue, Latham.
