VIRGINIA A. LASICKI Rexford- Virginia A. Lasicki, 90 of Rexford, beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Lasicki, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Ellis Hospital, in Schenectady. Born in New York City on June 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Antoinette (Mele) Puglia. She then moved to Yonkers NY where she lived, and raised her family, for 33 years, where she was very involved in her children's schools and in volunteering for literacy programs for children. Virginia was a resident of Clearwater, Florida for 22 years prior to relocating to this area in 2010. Virginia was employed in the Mail Department with Readers Digest in Pleasantville, NY. She was also a gifted painter, her specialty being oil painting. She is survived by her five loving children; Peter (Marlene) Lasicki of New Fairfield, CT, Antonia "Toni" (William DeVita) Lasicki of Niskayuna, Paul (Mary Gaines) Lasicki of Philo, CA, Florence (George Cipolla) Lasicki of Kerhonksen, NY and Joseph Lasicki of Stamford, CT; her two cherished granddaughters: Amanda Lasicki and Anne Marie Cipolla; her sisters in law; Lucy Puglia and Patricia Puglia as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Virginia is predeceased by her siblings: John, Agnes, Bernard, Carmella, Elizabeth and Anthony. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 9:00 am at St. Mary's Church Of Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, Waterford with Fr. Joseph Cebulla officiating. In lieu of flowers and due to cemetery regulations memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 1 Computer Dr. S. #104, Albany, NY 12205 Interment will take place on Friday April 10, 2015 at 12:30 pm at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
