REGINA SALAMANDER Latham- Regina Salamander 95, of Latham, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday January 15, 2015 with her cherished family at her side. Born on June 4th 1919 in Wilkes Barre, PA, Regina was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Bura) Koter. Regina was predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene Salamander on December 13th 2003. She had married Eugene in May of 1940, and shared 63 cherished years of marriage before his passing away. Regina was a Machine Operator, employed by Barclay Home Products in Cohoes. She worked there for over fifteen years before retirement. After retirement she became a demonstrator at Price Chopper for Twelve years until she was Seventy-Five years old. She was a Latham resident since 1952. Survivors include her loving daughter Genie (Gary) Greenhouse of Menands, Her cherished grandchildren David Greenhouse, Kristin (Derek) Brown, Alison (Michael) Brehm, Scott Greenhouse, and Dena (Chang) Lee, her adored great-grandchildren, Jacklyn Brehm, Justin Brehm, Sydney Brown, Reece Brown, Amanda Lee, Stephanie Lee and Samantha Lee. Regina was predeceased by her son, Michael Salamander. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Anthony Barratt officiating. There will be no calling hours.
