Obituary of Kevin Joseph Quinn

KEVIN J. QUINN ALBANY – September 12, 2023 - It is with shock and deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected death of Kevin Joseph Quinn our most beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and dog father to Tucker and Grover. Kevin had a magnetic personality. Kevin was smart, hardworking, dedicated and a loyal friend. Kevin was born in Ridgewood NJ, spending most of his childhood in Oakland, NJ. He graduated from Sparta HS in 2001 and from Siena College in 2005 with a degree in Accounting. Following graduation, Kevin was recruited by Price Waterhouse Coopers where he worked for two years until 2007 when he joined BBL Management in the Property Management Division. In 2018 he joined BBL Hospitality as a VP of Finance. He was so happy and proud to join this company to which he spent the last 16 years. BBL was his second family. While at Siena, Kevin made many long-lasting friendships and was a member of the Men's Rugby team as a player from 2002-2005. He always felt a connection to the Rugby program and following graduation returned back to Siena Rugby as a coach of the team from 2007-2011. Shortly after stepping down as coach, Kevin took on a new role as the leader of the Siena Rugby Alumni Board, a post he held for over 10 years. Kevin was instrumental in helping the Siena College rugby program grow from club level all the way to Division 1. Kevin also served on the Siena Rugby Alumni Memorial golf committee for the last 12 years. Kevin developed many strong connections in the Capital Region. Kevin was a generous philanthropist often seen at so many charity events, including the hundreds of golf outings he was asked to play in and the 5Ks he ran in weekly. Kevin was quick witted and had a contagious sense of humor. He loved his many costumes that he would run in. Kevin's runs over the years increased from 5Ks to half marathons and even his completion of the 2022 NYC Marathon. One of his favorite races was the 15K Utica Boilermaker that he ran annually. Kevin had many interests, he loved the game of golf, loved to fish, hike the Adirondack high peaks, ride the Peloton and was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a fan and biggest supporter of Siena Rugby, he followed Siena Basketball, Notre Dame Football, as well as the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. Kevin enjoyed attending games and supporting many local teams as well. Kevin put everyone first above himself. He had many strong friendships that he valued and always took the time to stay connected over the years. Kevin made time for each of his nephews and his niece. Kevin would do anything for anyone. He was a giver in all ways. Kevin's sarcasm and big heart will be missed. He is survived by: His mother and father, Kevin and Judy Quinn of Andover, NJ, his sister Meghan and David Stokoe of Randolph, NJ, sister Erin and Tom Vargo of Allamuchy, NJ and brother Ryan Quinn of Cincinnati, OH.
