Obituary of Mary Anne Richmond

MARY ANNE RICHMOND

 

Loudonville – Mary Anne Garry Richmond­ died at her beloved home on July 24, 2023. She was 85 years old.

 

Born in Albany, January 30, 1938, to John T. and Emma (Roos) Garry, Anne was a lifelong resident of Albany and the Adirondacks (North Creek). She graduated from Vincentian Institute and attended Green Mountain College in Vermont. Anne was active in the Catholic Women’s Service League, Ladies of Charity of Troy, Children of Mary, and LaSalle School. She enjoyed traveling and pilgrimages, including Medjugorje, BosniaHerzegovina, which was particularly important to her.

 

Anne was predeceased by her daughter Lynn Anne and her siblings J. Thomas Garry, Therese A. Zeh and Miriam Adams.

 

She is survived by her daughter Lisa M. Richmond, son-in-law Joseph Martin, adopted daughter Teresa Newcomb (Kyle), many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended relatives with whom she was so proud to be a part of and who gave her great joy in life.

 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 31, 2023 at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with interment immediately thereafter in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
