Obituary of Edward L. LaMora

EDWARD L. LAMORA SR. Latham-Edward L. LaMora, Sr., 61 of Latham, beloved husband of Eileen Rayball LaMora, entered into eternal life on Friday, June 23, 2017. Born in Cohoes on July 29, 1955, he was the son of the late George A. and the late Elaine (Miron) LaMora. Ed married his beloved Eileen Rayball August 5, 1978 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of 38 years. He served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic and occupational safety specialist from 1976 to 2000. Ed was the past Commander of the NYS Disabled American Veterans organization and currently the Commander of Chapter #38 Rev. Francis E. Kelly Disabled American Veterans. He was a life member of the Tri-County Council of Vietnam Era Veterans. He was past Exalted Ruler of the Troy Elks Lodge #141. He was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham for many years. Ed was happiest surrounded by family and loved the kids, especially Kaileigh. Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children Kathleen Tricarick and Edward (Stephanie) LaMora Jr., his cherished granddaughter Kaileigh Tricarick, his brothers George (Laurel) LaMora and Anthony (Lisa) LaMora, his aunt and uncle Ray and Margaret LaMora and aunt Muriel Rayball, he is also survived by several aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Zoey Faith LaMora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 29, 2017 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Pastor Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
