Martha was my second cousin once removed. (My father, Frank and Theodore Janacek Sr were first cousins). I have fond memories of her from when we were kids and the family would gather to celebrate Thanksgiving - often at my parents home in Yonkers. Our condolences to Raymond and all the family.
Love, Jan & Carole

Hello,
I did not know Martha and Ray personally...wish I did. My son and wife, Andy and Shannon Weber, met Martha and Ray on their first trip to St. Maarten. Not giving any details on that trip!! Andy and Shannon said Martha and Ray reminded them of their marriage..very much in love. Thanks you for being an example. Ray, may God bless you and your precious memories. Our prayers are with the family.

My fondest memories of Martha are working side by side with her at Visiting Nurses, our summers at Lake George and sharing with me the best recipe ever for Hungarian butter horns. A friend to all who knew her. I will miss her.

I have been most fortunate to call Martha my dear close friend for over 30 years and was honored to be with her more over this past year....to say I miss her is an understatement.. but our love and friendship will endure in my heart, which, though heavy right now, lightens with the memories of our fun working and playing together..My love to Ray, Russ, Thuy, Rory, Sarah and the kids whom she loved so very much....

I have known Martha professionally for greater then 25 years. We were at competing home care agencies but I would always seek Martha out at conferences as I enjoyed her warmth and friendly smile. After I recruited her to The Joint Commission I was lucky get to know both Martha and Ray on a more personal level and gained great friends. Martha will be missed greatly by many. We are here to support you Ray and look forward to making more memories in the future.

Martha always had a smile and enjoyed her work at the AVNA. She loved working with her team and when ADPS, supported the larger organization wiith special programs and policies. Martha was a dedicated nurse, Sigma Theta Tau member and Sage Alum. She supported so many nurses who decided to go back for more education and enjoyed sharing those experiences. She will be missed.

I loved Martha's sense of fun and adventure. We stowed our sleeping bags in Vera's van and went on glorious camping trips to the Shenandoahs, Maine and Canada. We had an amazing breakfast at the top of Mt. Jacques Cartier and a great dinner at the base of Mt. Katahdin. The dinner guests Martha invited turned out to be members of the UMass crew. After dinner we were treated to a sunset canoe ride on Moosehead Lake, and we didn't have to paddle. Where Martha went, good times were in hot pursuit. Many thanks for lovely memories and the smiles they bring four decades later. She was such a blessing to all of us.
