RICHARD "DICK" J. CONLEY
Latham- Richard "Dick" J. Conley, 74 of Latham, beloved husband of Mary Anne Peck Conley, entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after being stricken at home.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Mary Ruth (Derbyshire) Conley. Dick was raised in the Port Schuyler section of Watervliet and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1957 until 1959. He married his wife the former Mary Anne Peck on June 3, 1961 and the two have shared 52 years of love and devotion. He was employed as a Computer Programmer Analyst with the NYS Department of Mental Health for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192 where he was formerly in the dart league. He was a former member of the Par-Nil Golf League and the Latham Merchants Bowling League.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children; Colleen (Mark) Rhodes of Snyders Lake, Heather (Ed) Bremer of Spencerport, NY and Kathleen (Bill) Boradgiak of Ballston Lake, his cherished granddaughters, Jennifer Bremer and Shannon Bremer. He is survived by his siblings Beverly (Bill) Lorenz of Saugerties, Frank (Marta) Conley of Colonie, Bob (Pat) Conley of Calabash, NC, George Conley of Calabash, NC, Sandy (Mike) Tommaney of Colonie, Tom (Diane) Conley of Mechanicville, Kevin (Cindy) Conley of Castleton, and Tim (Sandra) Conley of Latham. Dick is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday September 9, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
