CATHERINE M. KIRK
Loudonville- Catherine M. Kirk of Loudonville passed away in her 100th year on Friday December 7, 2012 in the peace & comfort of her daughter's home in Loudonville. .
Born in Schaghticoke, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Catherine (O'Loughlin) Cronk. Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband William B. Kirk in 1989 after 52 years of marriage.
Catherine was a teacher at Burrough's Business School where she maintained a placement service for prospective students; she also was a supervisor for many years at Montgomery Wards in Menands. She was Coordinator with Niagara Mohawk and the New York Power Pool for many years, retiring in 1975. She was also a member of Colonie Senior Citizens and The Greater Loudonville Association.
Survivors include her children W. Blake Kirk and Carole A. Pepe both of Loudonville, her 3 grandchildren: Shawn (Alicia) Pepe, Katherine (Kevin) Kaczorowski, Christine (Jim Yienger) Pepe, and her 5 Great Grandchildren: William, Erin, Nicholas and, Ryan, Hannah and Parker Kaczorowski, and Indigo Yienger. She is also survived by her sister Mary E. Unger of Loudonville and also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son in law: Joseph Pepe.
In keeping with Catherine's wishes visitation & services were private.
Catherine's Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
Interment took place next to her husband at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
