Whenever I think of Mrs. Van Sleet, it's as a warm and caring mom who endured us teenage girls with humor and patience! I can still hear her voice, inviting us in to visit and talk. She is definitely one of the sweetest and most devoted people I have ever known, and it shows in her family. Love and condolences to all the Van Sleets.

Dear Karen, Mark, Rick & Bill & your families, I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful lady...so sweet & kind. I have many wonderful memories of our families and the fun times that we had at Mema and Pepa's. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that your Mom and Dad are reunited and are at peace. Karen, Mark, Ricky & Bill - I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was truly one of the kindest, sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She absolutely adored all of you, and that was evident to all. I hope that you can take some comfort in knowing that she is at peace and with your dad again. In fact, I'm certain that she, Mema, Pepa, Aunt Joan, your dad, and my mom are all happy to have her join them and are probably planning their first clam steam together. Much love, Lainie
