LATHAM - Joseph Moscatello, 60, of Latham, NY passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026 following a long illness.

Joe spent his childhood in South Troy and graduated from Hudson Valley Community College. Following graduation, he became an electrician and also worked at Grand Union for a number of years. Prior to retirement, he worked for Capital District Transportation Authority for 24 years. He took great pride in his work. Joe dedicated his life to serving his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Latham Fire Department.

Outside of his service, Joe found great joy in the kitchen. Cooking was one of his favorite ways to express his love for family and friends. He could also often be found working on various projects around the house. Known for his generous spirit, Joe was always willing to help someone in need. His kindness touched countless lives, and those who knew him will remember him as someone who made others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. He also had a special place in his heart for dogs, who brought him endless happiness.

Above all else, Joe's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Rohloff), Moscatello, son, Joseph Moscatello Jr., daughter, Amanda Fitzpatrick (Mark), and granddaughter, Olivia.

His father, John Moscatello and his mother, Philomena Moscatello, preceded him in death.

Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives through the lives he's served, the meals he shared, the kindness he showed, and the family he loved beyond measure. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Visitation will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 AM immediately followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 AM.
