Yardsley A. Macpherson Obituary
LATHAM - Yardsley A. Macpherson, 83 of Latham, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, with her family at her side.
Born March 11, 1943, in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Mary (Jeffs) Macpherson.
Yardsley worked as a service representative with Verizon in Albany for 39 years before retiring in 2001 as a service technician. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, the funeral choir at St. Ambrose Church in Latham, and a dedicated volunteer at the Provincial House with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. She was currently a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham.
She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth "Beth" Rita Rowe and Christine "Chris" F. Meharg, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Also survived by her faithful golden retriever, Zenny.
In addition to her late parents, Yardsley is predeceased by her siblings Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Macpherson, Duncan G. Macpherson, and James "Jimmy" F. Macpherson as well as special friend, Judy Hart.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
Yardsley's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 15th, 2026, 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Road, Latham.
Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
