Marion E. Brenenstuhl Obituary

Marion Eunice Brenenstuhl, 87, of Watervliet, NY, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Born in Albany, NY on May 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Glenford and Clara Westervelt. Marion attended Lansingburgh High School, graduating in 1955. In 1956, she married Richard E. Brenenstuhl and devoted many years to raising her children as a loving homemaker. Later in life, she worked as a bill collector for Equifax in Albany and for New York State Higher Education. In her retirement years, she enjoyed working in customer service at Boscov's in Colonie.

Marion found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and loved cooking, watching cooking shows, and collecting recipes. She enjoyed horse racing—especially trips to the Saratoga Race Course—and looked forward to her annual visits to Las Vegas. Marion also enjoyed shopping on QVC, thrifting, and traveling with her sisters. She held a special place in her heart for her beloved cats. As a child, she cherished summers spent in Silver Bay on Lake George with her grandmother and namesake, Marion.

She is survived by her four children, Karla Streeter; Eric (Janice) Brenenstuhl; Dana (Joseph) Pierre; and Dawn Brenenstuhl; her four grandchildren, Rebecca (Scott) Willeburgher, Nikoli (Samantha) Streeter, Travis Pierre, and Margaret Brenenstuhl; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen LaMar (late Errol), and predeceased by her sister, Louise Young (Jimmy), along with several nieces and nephews.
