Donna L. Pratt Obituary

Donna L. Pratt Obituary

LATHAM - Donna L. Pratt, 66, of Latham, NY, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and cherished wife of Robert L. Pratt.

Born on May 19, 1959, in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Fredette) Clark. Donna was a proud graduate of Shaker High School, Class of 1977, and soon after began what would become a remarkable 42-year career with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Her warm personality, patience, and genuine kindness made her beloved by colleagues and the many members of the public she served over the decades.

Donna later worked part-time at Walmart in Latham as a cashier, where people would seek out her line just to be greeted by her friendly smile and enjoy a moment of pleasant conversation. She had an uplifting presence that naturally drew people to her.

A woman of many joys, Donna loved gambling at casinos with her husband—especially their trips to Turning Stone—and she enjoyed country music, sunshine, and relaxing by her pool. She was also an extraordinary feline lover who rescued many cats over the years. Among them, her most recent companion, Alley, held a particularly special place in her heart. Donna cherished the ocean and took great pleasure in her visits to Hampton Beach. Above all, she adored being "Mimi" to her grandchildren, who brought endless joy into her life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Patrick (Casey) Cavatta and Ashley (Mark) Bradley; her sisters, Julia (Chuck) Tarbox and Kimberly (Hector) Vega; and her beloved grandchildren, Lucy, Mark III, and Oliver. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her sister, Robin Clark, and her cherished niece, Danielle Tolagian.

Donna's family would like to thank the entire team at Albany Medical Center for their efforts and compassionate care.
