I LOVED my cousins, my dear Aunt Mary and Uncle Walt; especially visiting their home many, many times! I think it was David who was babysitting me during my nap as a 3 or 4 yr. old. I was so upset when I woke, that the kids and moms had left me, so I started to cry. My cousin's quick thinking took us outside for a walk. 4 houses down Leslie Ct., the Brannick station wagon drove by! Phew! I loved Susie's antics and Julie's doll house. Many years later while taking the bus back to college, I called Aunt Mary b/c of a snow delay. That bus station closed after dinner! Thank God I had a warm twin bed in Julie's room, where I followed strict instructions about the pillow shams, as "My Mom will pitch a fit if they were dirty!" I remember pulling taffy on Mulberry St. in Clinton, NY one Christmas to send to the Uerzs' and was jealous they got so many pink & green taffies. They probably weren't as good as Cape Cod's Salt Water Taffy, (my neck of the woods) but it was the effort just the same! I will miss Aunt Mary's laugh, Irish wit, ginger hair and wonderful home-cooked meals. I remember my twin Kevin and I licking the beaters from chocolate cake when we were young! God's Speed Aunt Mary and Uncle Walt! We will see you in Heaven!
