TROY - Helen Alice (McDonough) Williams, 74, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, in Albany.

Born in Cohoes, NY on January 11, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Normandin) Williams. Helen attended Keveny Academy and later Hudson Valley Community College and St. Mary's School of Nursing where she earned her certificate to practice as an LPN. Helen was a lifetime member of AA which led to her career as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Most recently she devoted her efforts as a counselor at Pahl House in Troy.

Survivors include her sister Bernice "Bunny" Dupuis (late Al) as well as nieces and nephews Jason, Aimee, Brian, Karla, and Megan.

In addition to her late parents, she is predeceased by her brother Carl (late Mary Ellen).

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday morning, January 22nd, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A brief prayer service will conclude the visitation at 11:00 AM.
