ANTHONY VITO D'AGOSTINO

LATHAM - Anthony Vito D'Agostino, 85, of Latham, New York, entered into eternal rest on December 29, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 5, 1940, in Troy, NY, Anthony was the son of the late Vincent D'Agostino and Louise (Marinucci) D'Agostino. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Julia (Wheeler) D'Agostino, with whom he shared a devoted and loving marriage.

Anthony graduated from Hudson Valley Community College, where he studied drafting. He went on to work as a project manager for several local construction companies before opening his own business as a building inspector, Atlantic Building Inspection. A proud Italian craftsman, Anthony loved working with his hands and was a master carpenter and woodworker, taking great pride in his skill and attention to detail. A devout Catholic, Anthony was a parishioner of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. He and his wife cherished their annual summer pilgrimages to Canada, where they visited various Catholic shrines together. Anthony was also a devoted New York Yankees and New York Giants fan, and most of all, he treasured time spent with his family. The last words he shared with his wife before entering the hospital were, "Tell the kids I love them," a reflection of the deep love that defined his life.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Anthony is survived by his six children: Mark (Judith) D'Agostino, Sondra D'Agostino, Victor D'Agostino, Pamela D'Agostino, Brian (Jennifer) D'Agostino, and Jeffrey D'Agostino; his twelve grandchildren: Jason, Jennifer, Mars, Cross, Christian, Caroline, Madelyn, Audrey, Ryan, Anthony, Dominic, and Julia; and his great-granddaughter, Payton. He is also survived by his brother, Vincent D'Agostino, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his brother, Benedict D'Agostino.

In accordance with Mr. D'Agostino's wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org. The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and staff of St. Peter's Hospital for providing exceptional compassionate care to their beloved husband and father.
