JUDITH LEONE AUSTIN


COHOES - Judith Austin (81), known affectionately to friends and family as Judy, passed away on November 20, 2025 after succumbing to Alzheimer's disease. She was born on November 25th, 1943 in Rochester New York, daughter of the late Carl and June Imm along with her stepmother Gladys. Judy was a proud mother to her son, Brian (Kerry). She adored her grandchildren—Connor, Evan, and Caroline.


A devoted wife, Judy's life was defined by her enduring bond with Clark for over 60 years. Their journey together was filled with love until he passed in 2023. She had a passion for cooking (especially her meatloaf!), reading, and working in the yard and garden. Judy and Clark spent many happy vacations in Ohio, visiting Amish country. They were also frequent visitors to Sturbridge Museum in Massachusetts, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.


Judy spent most of her career working as a secretary in the church and also at St. John Fisher College in Fairport New York.


She is survived by her son, Brian Austin, and his wife, Kerry; her beloved grandchildren: Connor, Evan, and Caroline and her stepsisters Elaine Webster and Noreen Yost


The funeral arrangements for Judy are being handled by Dufresne and Cavanaugh Funeral Home, located in Latham, NY. The family would like to thank the funeral home for their compassion and guidance and their friends and family for their support during this difficult time.


She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.


Heartfelt thank yous to the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, New York for their compassionate care over the past six years.


A gravesite burial service will be held at the North Farmington Friends Cemetery in Farmington, New York on Saturday November 29th at 1:00 p.m.
