JANE G. IRVING

WATERVLIET - Jane Gill Irving of Watervliet entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Born on December 21, 1930 in Oswego, NY, she was the daughter of James Francis and Grace Hall Gill. Jane married Francis R. "Charlie" Irving, Jr. on November 8, 1952 in Oswego, and together they raised their three children in Latham.

A graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City, Jane worked for many years as a secretary at Milanese Realty. In their retirement, she and Charlie enjoyed skiing and golfing. They spent as much time as possible at their beloved Camp Ackey in the Adirondacks surrounded by their children, grandchildren and extended family.

Predeceased by her husband Charlie, her son Francis R. "Frank" Irving III, her daughter Patricia "Patty" Irving Anderson, and grandson Tyler Longland, Jane is survived by her sister Mary "Nan" Zell of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, her brother James F. "Jimmy" Gill of Syracuse, her daughter Margaret "Meg" and son-in-law Frank LoRe of Niskayuna, grandchildren Ryan (Kari), Colin (Cory) and Amanda Irving; Lucas, Matthew and Jack LoRe and great-grandchildren Cassidy, Ellie and Brody Irving. Jane is also survived by a very large number of much-loved nieces, nephews and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 17th, 2025, 10:00 AM with Revered Geoffrey Burke, celebrant. Interment to follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
