DAVID E. LEMERISE

LATHAM - David E. Lemerise, 79, of Latham passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025. He was born in Albany, NY, to the late David B. and Dorothy S. (Curtis) Lemerise.

David served with the Colonie Police Department for 32 years, rising to the rank of Investigator and specializing in white collar crime cases. He was the recipient of numerous awards throughout his career. He also served honorably in the U.S. Navy with the Seabees during the Vietnam War.

Dave was at his happiest riding one of his favorite motorcycles he owned throughout the years and took many trips with his friends throughout the U.S.

Dave received a bachelor's degree from Russell Sage College in Criminal Justice.

He is survived by his sister Dianna LaPrade.

Relatives, friends, and colleagues are invited to pay their respects at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, N.Y. on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

David will be laid to rest at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C. alongside his late parents.
