KATHLEEN ANN DAVIS
Hagaman - Kathleen Ann Davis, 78, of Hagaman and formerly of Latham, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 21, 2025, with her loving family at her side. Born in Troy on December 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Helen S. (Bostley) Cooney, and the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Davis, who passed away in 2011.
Raised in Latham, Kathy was a proud graduate of Shaker High School. A creative soul through and through, she brought beauty and life to everything she touched—whether through her gardening as an active member of the Blue Creek Garden Club, her volunteer work at the Galway Food Bank, or her many artistic endeavors. Her deep love for Galway Lake was matched only by the joy she found in creating lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, friends, and beloved canine companions.
Throughout her life, Kathy pursued a variety of passions. She was co-owner of Amity House Plants, a real estate agent with Weiss Realty in Latham, and co-owner of the Saratoga Prideway Meat Market (Saratoga Meat Peddler). Her zest for life was also reflected in her treasured trips with "the girls" to York Beach, Maine—especially visits to the Nubble Point Lighthouse.
Her deepest joy was that of her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by those she leaves behind, yet her love and legacy will live on in their hearts forever.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathy was predeceased by her two brothers, William "Chipper" Cooney and Daniel Cooney.
She is survived by her loving children, Henry Scott (Tamara) Panten and her daughter; her devoted sister Sharon L. (Dan) Brennen; and her cherished goddaughter Lauren Clemente and her children, Anthony and Shane Clemente. Kathy also leaves behind her treasured niece Shannon, who held a special place in her heart, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, William, Kimberly, Danielle, Nicole, and Michelle; her great-grandson, Jackson "Jack" Griffin; and her loyal dog, Sophie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 12:30 p.m. Private interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Starpoint Church in Clifton Park at www.starpoint.church/give/ or the Galway Food Bank at 2167 Galway Rd, Galway, NY 12074, in honor of Kathy's generous spirit.
