RHEDAH JUNE DALY

LATHAM - Rhedah June Daly, 87, died on May 20th, 2025 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Loudon, Tennessee, her beloved home state, June was the daughter of John and Nealie Chastain. She married Michael Daly in 1960 and was the loving and devoted mother of sons Michael (Catina) and Patrick.

Due to the nature of her husband's job, June's early married life involved numerous relocations from Ohio to New York City, Puerto Rico to Gettysburg, Tennessee again, and, finally, Latham, where she long resided. June worked at a number of retail stores in the Capital District, ultimately becoming a representative for Estée Lauder for many years, a fitting occupation for a woman who would never venture out in public without her makeup being just right. June prided herself on furnishing and decorating her spotless home, and loved hosting family dinners and holiday parties, always ensuring everyone felt at home and had plenty to eat and drink. June enjoyed reading and visiting friends and family. In later years, with her close friend John Crandall, she became an avid boater at Lake George.

June was preceded in death by her husband as well as her siblings, John, Fay, Frida, and Violet. She is survived by her sons and her precious grandchildren Zoe, Jack, and Luke, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

June was fiercely independent and, despite all her many ailments, resolved to remain so until the very end. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
