Daniel Monroe "DJ" Bronson Jr. Obituary

SCHENECTADY - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the homegoing of Daniel Monroe Bronson Jr., affectionately known as "DJ", who returned to the presence of the Most High on June 17th, at the age of 46. A loving father, beloved son, loyal brother, cherished friend, and deeply loved family member — he wore many titles, and he carried each one with grace, strength, and humility. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unforgettable humor.

Born on November 7th, 1978, in Yonkers, NY, to parents Daniel Jackson and Beth Bronson, Daniel was educated in the Yonkers Public School system and later in Hoke County Schools . He lived a life full of heart and purpose. Known for his wisdom, warm spirit, and vibrant personality, Daniel had the rare ability to bring joy to everyone around him. To know him was to smile. His humor wasn't just entertainment — it was comfort, connection, and healing.

A die-hard 49ers fan, Daniel proudly sported red and gold in every season, cheering his team on with unwavering loyalty. He dedicated many years as a Direct Support Professional at the Center for Disability Services, for the State of New York, and also worked at St. Clare's Hospital. His compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on countless lives. He cared deeply for his clients, treating them with dignity, kindness, and patience.

In his quiet moments, Daniel found joy in the simple things — sports, movies, music, and coloring — small comforts that brought him peace and reflected the creative, thoughtful soul he was. He was also an excellent cook and a true food enthusiast, known for bringing people together through good meals and even better company.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth T. Bronson, Charles Bronson, Nettie Mae Spruill and John Jackson and three uncles James Bronson, Albert Jackson and John Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Beth B. Bronson of Schenectady, NY and Daniel M. Jackson (Shirley) of Fairmont, NC; his siblings, Tasha Bryan (Leon) of Summerville, SC, Darryl Bronson (Portia) of Montgomery, AL, Tiffany Bronson of Schenectady, NY, Rondai Baldwin of Fairmont, NC and Julius Jackson of Talladega, AL and his beloved children; Amber, Eric, Ke'Asiah, TyQuan, Daniel, Danielle, Daniel III (Little DJ) and Eliana. Also survived by five grandchildren Jay'ceon, Ava, Valentino, Zyair and Ka'lani and three nieces and two nephews as well as cherished uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

More than anything, Daniel was a devoted father. For those of us blessed to share his name, we carry that honor with pride and deep gratitude. His presence shaped our lives, his lessons will continue to guide us, and his laughter will echo in our hearts forever.

Though our hearts are broken, we rest in the comfort of knowing he is finally home — not a home built by human hands, but an eternal one, lovingly prepared by God

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you."                                                                                                                                                                                                        — John 14:1–2
