DOLORES HAVERLY

WATERVLIET – Dolores Haverly, 85 of Watervliet, beloved wife of the late Brian P. (Tim) Haverly, passed away on May 29th, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Cohoes, NY on February 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and the late Pauline R. (Spiak) Shostak.

Dolores was the proud owner of Advance Glass Inc., formerly Haverly Glass in Watervliet, which she established in 1986 along with her husband, daughter Claudine and son-in-law Domenic.

Dolores looked forward to and enjoyed summer camping in the Adirondacks with her grandchildren Alysha, Timothy and Kaitlin. She also looked forward to celebrating the holiday with her family and cooking all of the traditional and delicious Polish foods from her many cookbooks and recipes. Most of all Dolores really enjoyed the annual ritual of going to St. Maarten and spending the month of January at the Divi Resort.

Survivors include her daughter Nicole E. (Keith) Carbon, son-in-law Domenic Costa, brother Richard Shostak, and grandchildren Alysha Marie Costa, Timothy Joseph Costa, and Kaitlin Jordan Carbon.In addition to her late parents and husband, Dolores is predeceased by her daughter Claudine Haverly-Costa.

Dolores's family wishes to thank her dedicated caregivers Marie, Dena, Amanda, Amathys and Heather who provided loving and compassionate care to Dolores during her illness and allowed her to stay in the comforts of her own home until her passing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 2nd, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 2416 7th Ave, Watervliet at 10:00 AM, with Reverend Donald Rutherford, celebrant. Interment to follow in the family plot of St. Agnes Cemetery Menands.
