With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Michael Lozano, on May 14, 2025 at the age of 62. Michael was born November 20, 1962 in Albany, NY. The son of the late Waldo A. Lozano and the late Margaret (Peg) Cairns Lozano.

Mike was a gifted and passionate graphic artist who brought incredible creativity and heart to his work. For many years, he was part of the team at Awards by Walsh. Before his career in graphic design, Mike spent his early years working at the family business, Lefty’s Sporting Goods. Beyond his professional achievements, Mike was a dedicated and enthusiastic fan of both the Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Orioles. 

He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him deeply. Though his life was cut short, his spirit, creativity, and love for those around him will never be forgotten. He is survived by his children Nicholas Lozano (Sarah Reynolds), Andrea Lozano (Matt Wharton): his grandchildren Anthony and Grayson Lozano and Olivia Lozano; his siblings, James (Mary) Lozano, Sharon Montagne, Lynnette (Bill) Commisso, Lisa (Dennis) Kruzinski and Erin (John) Odorisio. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and 6 great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Gary Lozano.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home LTD, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110. Private burial will take place in the family plot of the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy, NY.
