Obituary of Jean Ann Misterman

JEAN ANN MISTERMAN

MENANDS - Jean Ann Misterman, 93 of Menands, beloved wife of the late Alex Misterman who passed in 1994 and the late Harold Ryan who passed in 1972, died Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Teresian House, in Albany.

Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Clas) Maloy. She attended and graduated from Vincentian Institute in Albany Class of 1949. Jean worked as a secretary for the NYS Dept of Agriculture and Markets as well as RPI in Troy in her later years. She was an avid dancer and loved to travel. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville.

In addition to her late parents, Jean is predeceased by her brother Jack (late Viola) Maloy. She is survived by her stepchildren Gregory (Melissa) Misterman, Dennis Misterman, and Cathleen (Mark) Rankine, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews to include Kathy (Michael) Curley, Mary Beth (late Mark) Lyon, Ellen Tidings, Michael Maloy, Robert Maloy, and several others.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025, 10:30 AM at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville with Reverend Daniel Vallejo, celebrant. Interment to immediately follow the mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
