Jean was the beloved wife of her dear late husband David Kaercher for fifty-four blessed years and loving mother of Dalynn Ann (Scott) Boyer, Temple, PA, Mark David (Jessica) Kaercher, Latham, Nathan Edward (Suzanne) Kaercher, Fayetteville. She was a supportive and an immensely proud Oma to Cameron David, Grace Eleanor, Elizabeth Jean, Hannah Claire, Rebecca Ann, Rachael Ruth, Logan Brandon, and Mason Scott. Jean was predeceased by her parents and brother, Wayne Bennett (survived by wife Patricia). Jean was faithful to her many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jean was very proud of her small-town upbringing in Castleton, NY. After establishing roots in Latham, she and her husband ran their successful retail floral business, J. David Kaercher Flowers, for twenty-eight years. Jean also served as a devoted Parish Secretary at St. John's Lutheran Church in Albany, for twenty-six years. Jean was a thoughtful and compassionate person and was always so generous with her time and energy. Her family and friends will forever remember the warm hospitality shown by her and Dave. Following the death of her husband, Jean lived briefly at the Beltrone Living Center and at Elderwood Village, both in Colonie. Her final months were at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center Blue Unit, where she was cared for with kindness and compassion.
