Obituary of Anne Lena Campese

ANNE L. CAMPESE

LATHAM - Anne Lena Campese, 94 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Nicholas H. Campese, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late John J. and the late Lena (Del Vecchio) Campana. She graduated from Troy High School Class of 1949 and went on to study stenography at the Albany Business College. She married her beloved husband, Nicholas, on June 10th, 1951. In 1952 Anne gave birth their first child and she began her lifelong commitment as a devoted mother and caretaker to her family. She would continue this nurturing role throughout her life; Anne was always willing to help anyone in need. She was especially devoted to caring for her two sons. Anne often showed her love through cooking and baking.

During her life, Anne was involved in several local community organizations such as the Italian Community Center in Troy, the Rosary Altar Society at St. Ambrose in Latham, and the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother. Anne was also a proud Tupperware Saleswoman in her earlier years.

Anne is survived by her loving family including her children Deborah J. (Robert) Chesky, David M. Campese, Lisa A. (Luis) Campese, John F. Campese, and Michael Campese, her grandchildren Brian, Allison (Jason), Joshua, and Gabriella, her great-grandson Hendrix, as well as nieces Robin and Renee, and nephew John.

In addition to her late parents and husband, Anne is predeceased by her son Nicholas J. Campese and her sister Carmela (late Dom) Rizzicone.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, March 31st, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham with Reverend Brian Kelly, celebrant. Entombment beside her late husband will follow the mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
