Obituary of Marylee Trudeau
MARYLEE TRUDEAU
Latham – Marylee Trudeau, 92, of Latham, beloved wife of the late Robert Louis Trudeau, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at The Teresian House in Albany.
Born on May 20, 1932, in Syracuse, Marylee was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary (Decker) Dickson. She attended Russell Sage and Siena College. Marylee married Robert Trudeau on October 2, 1954, at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Albany, and together they shared sixty-nine devoted years until Robert's passing in 2023. Marylee was also predeceased by her son, Robert Scott Trudeau, and her brother, Richard Dickson.
Marylee served as Fiscal Director for Community Maternity Services for 20 years before retiring in 2007. She was the former President of the Board of Directors for Hispanic Outreach Services and a former member of both the Albany Association Jeanne Jugan and the Albany Tennis Club. She volunteered at Our Lady of Hope Nursing Home and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Ambrose Church, where she also founded a religious education program for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Marylee is survived by her children: Jeffrey Trudeau, Lisa (Morris) Naus, Mark (Kathy) Trudeau, and Bart (Patricia) Trudeau; her sister, Judy Ann (Dickson) Binzen; ten grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Marylee was a devoted Roman Catholic and a communicant of St. Ambrose Church prior to residing at The Teresian House.
The children of Marylee Trudeau could not express enough how much God loved each one of us through her. She had a way of making us feel that we were the only one in her world. She had an ear to hear our heart. She never judged but listened with intentions to affirm us. Afterwards, she left us with God's loving touch imprinted on our minds. We were undeserving children blessed by the love of Jesus deep in our souls.
