GEORGE P. CATALANO

CLIFTON PARK - George Peter Catalano, 86 of Clifton Park, beloved husband of the late Nancy (Dunn), passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital, in Troy with his loving family at his side.

Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Armony) Catalano. George was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, class of 1956. He went on to serve as an Albany Firefighter. George also worked in the family business as a butcher for many years. He retired from the Albany City School District as a Maintenance Supervisor. George was also a member of the Colonie Elks Club.

Survivors include his daughters Carol (Walter) McNall, Catherine (Fred) Alund, sons Michael (Tammy) Catalano, and George Catalano as well as grandchildren Alexander (Rachel) Alund PhD, Ryan McNall, Shannon (Jon) McNall MD, Jacob Catalano, Amber (Michael) Vatrano and great-grandchildren James Alund and Delilah Vatrano. Also survived by his siblings Eloise Catalano and Robert (Kay) Catalano.

In addition to his late parents and wife George is predeceased by his brother Richard Catalano.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday morning, March 13th, 2025, 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 86 Church Hill Rd, Waterford with Reverend Kyle Gorenski, celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
