My sister Martha and I wish to send our sincere condolences to Mark's family and friends. We knew Mark, his brother Dan, his wife Kate and sister-in-laws Mandy and Rose when they worked at Marian Lodge in the Summers of the 1970s. Some of the best years of our lives were spent at Marion Lodge and we are grateful to have shared these years with Mark. It was wonderful to see Mark and his brother Dan at the Marian Lodge reunion a few years ago. They even paddled a canoe around the island at Pyramid Lake while we swim. We will mourn Mark's passing and will be forever grateful for his friendship. Mark will remain in our hearts as a rare and remarkable man who graced our lives.

What a honor to be able to call Mark our friend for over 40 years. So many memories of travel adventures, both with our children and, later, as couples that warm our hearts during these tough times. He was a true gentleman with the kindest and most loving heart to be found. His love for Kate, Steve, Brian and Keegan was stunning. He always seemed as though he had everything he could ever want. My sincere condolences go out to Mark's family and friends. He was a good co-worker and friend during our years at NYSDOT Region 1. He succeeded me as the Regional Traffic Permit Engineer after my one year "temporary fill in tenure" to help out (the "legendary" R-1 Traffic and Safety Director) Joe Kelly. I always enjoyed Mark's sense of humor (somewhat wry and tinged with a little sarcasm at times) and his willingness to work together when I offered advice or needed help.
